About Church Planting Pastor: Scott McDowellMcDowell Family Pix smaller
Scott and Lynea have lived in Victoria for going on 1o years. Having all three of their children (Dylan 9, Nathan 7, and Samara 5) in this city they have truly enjoyed making Victoria their home. Scott began praying about God’s calling to plant Lighthouse church back in 2008-09. And over the years through seminary and the last years of ministry with their sending church (Providence Community) God continued to confirm this call to begin.  From 2011-2012, The McDowell’s began praying and developing relationships with others that God gathered to begin this new gospel believing community in Rock Bay. On September 30th 2012 Lighthouse Church officially launched weekly gatherings along with various community groups in the city. They remain excited to see how Jesus is faithful in building his church!
